America is the leader of the free world, and that gives us the responsibility to assist others whose freedom is threatened by dictators and authoritarian despots who kill for power and property. The success of Ukraine to protect itself from Russia’s invasion affects all democracies who may be next. I support Ukraine and I support all democracies united and paying their fair share to match Russia’s resources. Just as Russia has acted out, Hamas has brutally attacked the people of Israel. I understand that Israel has to rid Gaza of Hamas, but we must do everything possible to provide humanitarian aid to the innocent Palestinian people who are in the crossfires. The United States is better served by sharing its leadership to form coalitions and its military innovation and equipment, but we should reserve our men and women in uniform to direct threats to America.
